North East Christian Centre was opened in 1994 by brothers David and Paul Helyard. It was initially located in a storefront at the Greenacres Shopping Centre. The church then rented various buildings before moving to Grand Junction Road in 1997.
The church continued to grow and soon a new building became necessary. After negotiations with State Government, a disused machine plant and land were purchased in 2001. After 18 months of renovations the North East Christian Centre had a new home and a new name, Northgate Life Centre.
In 2007 Northgate joined with Gateway Family Church in Kadina, and soon after Coastal Christian Centre in Wallaroo. To facilitate the integration of these churches our name was changed in 2008 to Life Centre Church. One Church - Three locations. Northgate, Gateway Kadina, and Coastal Wallaroo. We look forward to a future of growth and service to God and our community.
