Gospel Partnership

AS YOU MAY HAVE PICKED UP, LCC IS ALL ABOUT THE GOSPEL.

We believe it is powerful and should be central to all we do. The gospel not only informs us, it changes us and empowers us to live as disciples of Jesus on God’s mission. As a church we encourage all to come, be equipped and partner with us in this gospel mission.

WHY GOSPEL PARTNERSHIP?

In Philippians 1:3-5 the Apostle Paul writes to the church at Philippi thanking them for their partnership with him in the gospel…

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”

Some churches do ‘membership’ we prefer the idea of partnership. We have no desire to build a bigger club, but we do desire to equip as many people to be missionaries where they work, play, and live as possible. Gospel Partnership is our way to help equip you for mission in your context and to unite together covenantally in the mission God has for us as a church.

WHAT IS GOSPEL PARTNERSHIP?

It is a short 3 session course as seen below.

Session 1 – Gospel (focus on clarifying our view of scripture and what the gospel is and how we should understand it)
Session 2 – Community (focus on who we are as a church in light of the gospel and how we roll)
Session 3 – Mission + Q&A (focus on our unique strategy for making disciples and planting churches)

At the end of these three sessions people are able to decide whether or not they wish to become a Gospel Partner with LCC. Some people are immediately all in. Others take their time. And others just come away learning and being more equipped whether or not they become a partner.

So keep an eye out for our Gospel Partnership classes which are held regularly throughout the year in different formats (3 sessions in one day; 3 sessions 1 per week)
