Our
Missions
Each month, we’re intentionally praying for the mission partners we support as a church, staying connected to what God is doing beyond our walls.
Jesus’ Church, Jesus’ Mission: Lights in the Darkness
Scripture’s story is this: God reigns over the nations, and even in hardship and need, Jesus is building His Church. That’s why mission matters.
John declares that Christ is Light and Life, and that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:3–5, ESV). And when Jesus said, “I will build my church”, He was not offering a catchy slogan but declaring the certain purpose of the Saviour of the world. From the first disciples to churches today, Jesus is still gathering and building His Church and then equipping them to “Go, and make disciples of all peoples!” (Matthew 28:19).
LCC’s supported missions and churches serve amid war, poverty or spiritual need. They plant churches, disciple leaders, care for children and families, and help communities encounter the hope of Jesus in practical, personal ways.
We can all take part in this mission work and so join what Jesus is already doing in the world. We can do that by praying, giving, encouraging, and standing with our brothers and sisters who faithfully serve on the ground.
As you read the stories below, we invite you to read with curiosity and intent. When you pray, you offer support. However, also consider how you might partner with these missionaries and their churches and organisations. Behind every profile is a real person, and a community in need of the Gospel, radiating Christ’s light where it is needed.
